Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced
- 12 oz penne pasta (or your preferred pasta)
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking chicken, if uncooked)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
Directions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Chicken: If using raw chicken, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. If using pre-cooked chicken, simply dice it and set aside.
Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, diced chicken, Alfredo sauce, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir until well combined.
Assemble the Bake: Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
